Our Guitar Speaker Cabinets
Custom designed and built guitar speaker cabs made to deliver guitar speakers full potential with vintage tone and HIFI performance. Each speaker cabinet is designed around a speaker and its character.
Speakers we use in our cabinets
I almost exclusively use Weber Speakers for most guitar applications. For Bass cabinets, depending on the style of playing and equipment already in use I will match the choice of speakers to complement and enhance players current style and setup.
Bass Speaker Cabinets and Heads
Our handbuilt custom bass cabinets deliver tone, performance, and durability. Just like the guitar cabs, our custom bass cabs are designed precicely to aswer the requirements of the bass speakers we choose resulting in great response over a wide range of frequencies with it's unique tone and well controlled and articulate bottom. Our bass cabs deigned to answer the demands of a solo bass players who look for a sweetness in the upper register as well as thick bottom and punch.
Quick Design Overview
We take a HI-FI approach to the construction and design of our bass enclosures. Enclosure volumes are calculated using computer software and then tweaked for optimum response. Unique internal bracing ensures damping of unwanted vibrations in heavily loaded bass cabs, internal treatment of the cabinet walls with a combination of hi tech sound absorption materials takes care of standing waves and problem frequency peaks. All to ensure flat response, sparkling highs, strong mids, and tight well rounded and defined lows, making it a superb sounding speaker cabinet for the guitarist or bassist that seeks the ultimate in tone.
Craftsmanship
All our speaker cabinets are built with top quality materials, offer best joinery solutions like dovetails in hardwood cabinets and finger joint or dowels in plywood cabinets.
Woods and Tonewoods
The choice of wood can affect sound and resonance. It is a controversial topic but most agree that for creating sound, as in the case of guitar cabs, resonant construction is fitting and can enhance the sound. HIFI or reproduction of recorded sound demands neutral and non resonant construction, as do bass speaker cabinets.
Quality and charchter of each type of wood is near impossile to quantify, therefore I will not go into suggestions that Maple cabinets are brighter than Walnut, I find this kind of statement misleading and unproven. However, when building speaker cabinets, aesthetics are very important and choosing beautiful wood to complement either guitar or studio decor is a welcome option.
